it all started when
richard lacey and richard stewart
decided to open up a saloon in
downtown washington, d.c. that was
in 1971, and the location was 1136
19th street, n.w., an old townhouse
built around 1900.
lacey and stewart
pooled together several thousand
dollars, borrowed several thousand,
and commenced what would start as a
lengthy renovation of an old
property, most of which they did by
themselves. |
